Kevin Roberts, vice president of operations and planning, will leave ACU after 17 years of working on campus.

Roberts accepted a position as regional sales manager with Florida-based Campus Management Corp., a major software provider in higher education. Roberts will continue to be based in Abilene. His last day with ACU is July 29.

In a statement released Thursday, Dr. Phil Schubert, president of the university, said Roberts has made “tremendous contributions” to campus over the years.

“His leadership has made an important difference in the way we serve faculty, staff and students, and in the great impression our campus makes upon visitors,” Schubert said in the statement.

As Roberts transitions out of his role, Steven Holley, chief financial officer, will lead the operations division, which includes overseeing landscape and grounds, facilities and construction. Holley will also have responsibility for information technology in the interim time.

A farewell reception for Roberts will be held Tuesday, July 26 from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Hunter Welcome Center.
