Few classical musicians can boast of training with the masters at a young age. Giora Schmidt is one of those few, having legend Itzhak Perlman as a teacher. Born to professional musicians, Schmidt began playing violin at age 4 and has amassed both international recognition and acclaim in his two decades of musicianship. As a preview of the Abilene Philharmonic’s performance, KACU features this special insight into the life and music of Giora Schmidt, with host D Grant Smith.
Host/Producer: D Grant Smith (aka Dave Smith)
